The University of Manchester Musical Theatre Society is raising money for their production of ‘Godspell’, which is running from 17th-19th November in the Council Chambers of the Students’ Union.
The society is run entirely by students. Unfortunately we have received no funding or financial aid for our activities this year. As the shows must go on, and remain at their professional standard, we are forced to pay for everything out of our own pockets, which has added up to thousands of pounds on more than one occasion - far from ideal when you're a student!
This is where you come in. We are appealing to you for anything that you can spare for us to put on the best quality show possible for our performers and audiences.
Godspell is our first production of 2016/17. The play started as a student production in the 1970s but has since been transformed into an internationally-known classic. Based on the Gospel according to Matthew, 'Godspell' is a conceptual piece where a comedic troupe of eccentric players team up with Jesus to teach his lessons in a new age through parables, games, and fun.
The money raised will help fund costumes, the set, microphones, band equipment and lighting effects so anything you can donate would be greatly appreciated!
We cannot stress how much of a difference your money would make to a show that we've dedicated so much of our time, money and energy to. Even £5 would mean the world to us.
Please also help by sharing this page with anyone you know who could help to support us, and by buying a ticket to the show!TICKETS
